Brief

Create the brand identity for Brew Lab, a cafe that focuses on the art of brewing coffee. The cafe serves a variety of expertly made coffee drinks, along with fresh baked goods and snacks.

Deliverables should include logos, colour palette and a menu design. Design other collateral that you think would best suit this brand!

Experiment with deliciousness—introducing Brew Lab, a cafe that expertly brews delicious coffee and yummy toasties!

For this branding project, I decided to take classic coffee making instruments (grinders, pour over cones, plungers) and replace the bases with scientific equipment (test tubes, beakers, etc) instead. I really liked the idea of combining these two contrasting subjects together to create interesting icons that I could then use throughout the brand identity, and it really helped me to solidify the direction I was headed with this brand—sleek and modern.
